Don't think so, because you have to pull the fan to get clearance on the
pump's studs. Â To get to the 4 bolts that secure the fan, I know of no
tool or method to do that without pulling the rad. Even if you could,
you'd probably smash a bunch of fins. Pulling the rad is about a
half-hour job.
I know I've asked myself that question a couple times, and always ended
up pulling the rad.
