A tire firm that caters to semis will likely be able to shave the tires,
definitely improves ride and wear.

-->I just had the tie rod ends and front end balanced on my SUV by a very large
Front End Specialist. I want to ask him if he can balance and shave the tyres
with the wire wheels and balance the rear hubs. Does anyone know more about
the procedure? A friend with a 5 bay garage seems to remember that tires were
shaved, but, does not know how or why. Our club has old reliable balancer and
maybe it can be used. Ideas? Bob BeganiBJ8 From: Healeys

Remarkable difference after Hendrix Wire Wheel in Greensboro NC got a hold of
them. I think he can shave tires also. Great to work with also Jim Brown On

Subject: [Healeys] Drum BalancingI can understand balancing the front drums on
my BN2 to help preclude scuttle shake, but I am converting to front disc
brakes. Is it necessary to balance the rear drums? Mike MacLeanSent from Yahoo
