[Healeys] BJ8---Speedometer disassembly

I need to pull the guts out of my speedo.  Have removed (screws, etc and the 
push-counter end)  Trying to get the face off it appears you need to remove the 
needle.  How do you remove the needle (do you pry it off)---this will allow 
removal of the face so you can get the guts out.
