I vote that you found it. I had a similar problem on a '65 corvette, it w=
ould die and start when it felt like it. Bubba had wrapped a wire loosely a=
round the running terminal of the ballast resistor and then taped over it so=
you couldn't find it. That was 5 years ago and since correcting the connec=
tion it has perfectly.
