very true----so since I have been calling it a 65---guess I'll continue to call
it that.

Tom, most of the rest of the world outside the USA would call it a '64
because it was made in calendar year 1964. For the USA, we observe a "new
model year" that begins in September/October; so that Healey would probably
have been advertised and sold by its new car dealer as a "new 1965".
The "year" of BJ8s is all over the place, so it really isn't significant.
The cars were built in Marks, not model years, so a '66 is pretty much
identical to a '67 or a '68 (as some late BJ8s are registered). I have lots
of cars with adjacent chassis numbers in the registry that are different
"years".

Subject: [Healeys] What year?
For a Healey built 16 Nov 1964, would you call it a 64 or 65?
Thx
