John, The seam in the front seat cushions goes on the "cranked inwards" side of the seat bases, ie: the tunnel side. Heritage seat covers for the roadsters have always needed a bit of extra foam to fill them out. Original BJ 8 seats had an extra slab of foam under the seat backs and I think the Heritage covers used the same patterns for the slimmer roadster seats. Seems to me they sold a "supplementary foam kit" for their covers.
