Sounds like a properly working pump to me. Once the float bowls get filled
up the ticking
will slow down cause it doesn't need any more fuel pumped to the carbs.
Whats your problem with it?

Hi,
If I turn the ignition on in my MkII BT7, the petrol pump does its clickety
click click as per normal, then it clicks about once every 90 seconds
thereafter. There is no leak that I can detect, nor a smell of fuel
anywhere. Tapping the float chambers, a cure-all for many SU issues, makes
no difference. Any ideas...? Or is it normal? (I don't think so).
And, of course, I could simply ignore it....
