Alan's right (of course). And isn't one of the commonest causes of this a bad connection at the pump (where the fuel line enters)? This happened on my BT7. I think the thread on the pump body was pretty well shot (another common thing) and the sealant gloop had dried out. PTFE tape is a good sealant as long as the surplus doesn't get into the system. Happy Christmas one and all. Simon. -----Original Message----- From: healeys-bounces@autox.team.net [mailto:healeys-bounces@autox.team.net] On Behalf Of Alan Seigrist Sent: 25 December 2011 04:37 To: Linwood H Rose; healeylist Subject: Re: [Healeys] Dry fuel Pump Lin - if the pump's check valve disks are shot, then you will have this problem....alan _______________________________________________ Support Team.Net http://www.team.net/donate.html Suggested annual donation $12.75 Archive: http://www.team.net/archive Forums: http://www.team.net/forums Healeys@autox.team.net http://autox.team.net/mailman/listinfo/healeys |
