Forgive me; I know this subject has been discussed before, but I couldn't
nail it in the archives.
I'm likely going to replace my BT7's starter motor, as it seems to have a
dead spot on the armature. Most of the time it works, but occasionally it
doesn't turn over.
My questions are:
(1) Should I replace it with a gear motor starter, or find a rebuilt
original? My car is a driver.
(2) Are there any "gotchas" with a gear motor starter?
(2) Who are the best vendors for either type?
Thanks!
