Ah! this brings back memories.
As a Canadian transplant from Barrie, Ont. to San
Jose, California, I don't get to cruise in the snow
much anymore.
I was on a business trip in Kista, Sweden some years
ago when a very kind local Healey Club member
by the name of Magnus Melin came over in his Healey
an picked me up at my hotel. He'd brought a big
bomber jacket and a leather cap and goggles. It was
winter. We looked like a bunch of WWII kite flyers
cruising
with the top down in the snow. At one point he even
jumped out at a light to put some wood baffles in front
of the radiator to help keep the engine temp up.
That's cold! I got a tour of his shop, and a great
home cooked
meal. I'd just come of from Italy, so I brought a
nice Grappa! You can find great Healey friends all
over the
world. I've come to realize, I've become a big woose
in California! :-)
Thanks for the memories,
Derek

In the great stone deserts of the
mountains, there exists a strange trade.
You can swap the whirlwind of life
for the infinite peace of the soul.
