Hey Frank,
FYI...California law does not allow you to remove the original manufacturer's
VIN plate for any reason (10751 CVC). If you remove the VIN plate and/or any
other identifying vehicle numbers, your vehicle can be impounded and/or
forfeited to the state. If your original VIN plate is not legible or missing,
the CHP will assign a number to your vehicle using a blue ID plate. Email me
