I've forwarded this discussion to my local AHCA delegate, how many
others have taken the time to let your representatives know your
opinion or attempted to have a local club opinion given tot your
delegate before they vote with their heads in the sand?

Bob and all--
I don't think that the issue is that Delegates are not aware of the problem,
though there does seem to be a substantial difference between the dimension of
the problem as reported here by recipients versus the numbers of incidents
that Mike Schneider is aware of.
We in MD consistently get HM's late--I cannot recall if any members report
them mangled--but Beth Lunney the Publisher has reported at Delegates meetings
that all issues are mailed at the same time and that timeliness of deliveries
is a Post Office problem. Similarly her information regarding a $6K cost to
bag the issues appears to be a conversation-stopper: Others have questioned
this figure but I have not seen any hard data submitted.
In any case I agree with Bob's suggestion--With Conclave rapidly approaching
it would be great for members to let their Delegates know of their actual
experience regarding timeliness and condition of the HM delivery.
Best--Michael Oritt
