Hi All,
I am looking for a machine shop in the West (California through Washington)
or Western Canada that is very familiar with the 2.9ltr Healey Engine Head
and how to get the most out of it. Somebody that would know how to port and
polish it correctly to get the balance between volume and velocity. I am
nervous about giving it to somebody without experience or without a
flowbench...they might end up hogging it out too much and I end up with no
torque.
Somebody with vintage racing experience around Healey's would be ideal.
I know that you can get Aluminum Heads that are already built to "fast road"
spec, but I really don't want to fork out $4k for one.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated...I know that somebody out
there must have done it before me!
