The one pertronix I had that failed was actually a very early model ... the
magnetic cam sleeve was too long and it eventually wore out... Pertronix has
fixed this design flaw (many years ago in fact) and Pertronix replaced my
old defective unit free of charge eventhough it was several years out of the
warranty.
70k miles and counting on the Pertronix. It's the only reasonable choice
for a regular driver!
