Alan,
I have Pertronix EI in Erika the Red with a 40,000 V Lucas Sports coil and
use a plug gap of 0.030". I've had this setup for the past 20,000 miles and
love it. Idles smoother, runs smoother, especially at high RPM and hasn't
failed me yet (fingers crossed). I'm also been using the same rotor for
30,000 miles because I'm afraid to replace it with one of the current crop.
