Tracy Drummond's web site www.bighly.com. Then click on trafficator. There
is another web sight that also has very good information and photos but I
can't remember whose site is was. Maybe Rick Neves www.rickneves.com. I
think you should trouble shoot the wiring first before tearing apart the
trafficator. It does sound like you may have a couple of wire rubbing
against each other.
