since the hot weather has arrived, any time my car gets over 190-200 degrees,
it will diesel a bit when shut off, and will ping under a load, even with
premium. when i travelled up to lake tahoe for the open roads, i noticed that
in california and northern nevada, where it was a lot cooler, my car ran fine.
i even put in a tank of regular to check it out, and had no problems until i
got back to the hotter country. all timing specs check out and have put new
plugs in, carbs are slightly lean but still will blacken the plugs when
driving around town. any ideas? healeymanjim
