One thing that has been a massive help for me on the BJ8 has been
replacing the rear springs. Ever since I've done that, I may have
bonked the exhaust system slightly ... once maybe twice in 10 years.
Before that, with the old soggy factory springs... it was a regular
occurrence. New rear springs are a very good idea.
