I am very glad, my wife excepts my Healey madness, spending more time in the
garage than anywhere else. Therefore I accept any car she wants and she
usually decides to have a extreme practical car. Presently we have a Renault
Scenic turbo diesel as family car with a very spacious trunk. As a good
looking man any car suits me, so I am most thankful for her decision. The
trunk of our Renault takes any Healey engine, gearbox, wings and any other
part I can find for my Healeys here in Europe.
So my suggestion: Make your wife happy with the "New Beetle" and make the
best of it for you.
