Hey Michael,

I just glued it flat as you say. Dry fit it as best as possible and snip a 
few relief cuts around the hinge brackets. When you dry fit it I found it a 
good idea to use some chalk and mark on the outside of the vinyl where 
certain corners ended up. That will help with alignment after the piece is 
all glued, because once you stick it, it will be stuck.
