OK my BN6 is hot, I sweat in it. My back feels like crap after an hour or
so. I smell of oil, etc. The seats are like bare wood they are so hard. The
steering wheel is in an uncomfortable position. My arms ache wrestling with
it. What is left of my hair is all over my face. The comb-over is no longer
over. The roar of the wind and noise of the engine make it difficult to hear
for 30 minutes or so after returning home from a long drive.

BUT a seemingly miserable few hours in a Healey is better than a week of
hedonistic pleasure. Just think of what your life would be like if you
didn't have to suffer through the pains of Healey ownership. Not worth much
in my estimation. My Doctor has told me that quinine water is great to
prevent the leg cramps that I get from sitting in an uncomfortable position
so, mixed with a tad of gin, that allows me to sit and ruminate about the
ride I just had while healing and, oh by the way, since he prescribed it,
Tanquerey and tonic is now a medical deduction on my income tax.

Healey on, Dudes and Dudettes!

Subject: Question Dealing with Lower Back Fatigue

Listers,

it was about 45 and clear here in Atlanta yesterday and thought it would be
great to go for a short drive in the BN7. I have found that after driving
this recent restoration for any length of time...15 minutes to an hour or
more...my lower back takes days to recover. It is sore and tight today
after a 45 minute run.. I bought a small pillow to jam down in the lumbar
region of my back and that seems to help but the fatigue still comes, just
not as bad. I am reasonably fit..180lbs and 5'9" tall and only 50 years
old!

What to do...and selling or giving the BN7 away is not an option. I don't
feel fatigued after driving the Jensen-Healey.

Looking for suggestions so this car doesn't end up sitting in the garage all
the time.

I can't be the only one with this problem so please share..

Thanks in Advance,
