The BN4 I used to own (#56204) was a first batch "transition" car with the 
early style interior but the 6 port engine.  It was built in Abingdon in 
January '58 and had the early style seats.  I think Derek's BN4 is similar.  
Given production practices at the time, I'm quite sure that if they still had a 
stock of early style seats when BN6 production began (and I would be inclined 
to believe they did), they most assuredly would have used them up on the first 
of the BN6's.

BN6 'til the changeover much later in the year to include BN4s. The new 
design coincided with the introduction of the BN6 and is recorded as 
such in photographic evidence and the restoration guide by 
Anderson/Moment.
I don't recall ever seeing a car or picture of a BN6 with the early 
type seat.
