Dunlop wheels, although a sentimental favorite with their British
links, are far inferior to what Dayton makes.
BWW effectively re-spoked Alan's wheel using SS and a quality build
equal to Daytons.
Though not terribly patriotic (mea culpa), I'll gladly buy American
Daytons for quality reasons. You can even feel good about keeping the
work in the US as Dayton has venerable links to U.S. automotive
history. Sure beats buying Dunlop wheels from the old Empire that are
made in India to very questionable quality standards. Of course, just
my humble opinion.
As far as racing, competition, whether car or bike, exposes any and
all weaknesses in even the most perfectly trued wheels.
