Nearly finished with the restoration of my 1954 Healey 100 BN1, I have to
realise a misalignment of the front wishbone mounts at the chassis frames.
Both wishbone mounts at the right side are welded to the frame and the shock
tower about half an inch back compared to the ones on the left hand side. So
the wheel is about 1/2 inch back and fits unsymmetrical in the wheel arch.
There is no sign of replacement of the wishbone mounts. It looks like the
misalignment was done at the factory at Jensen's as the right side welding and
mounts look not at all different to the left hand side.
Now my question: Is this "normal" tolerance and state of the art? Does anyone
else had similar experience?
I do not have such tolerances at my 3000 MK2.
