Somebody obviously doesn't know how to correctly fold a convertible series
top, or just didn't take the time to stow it correctly. Combine this with
the fact that the boot cover can shrink A LOT would indicate to me the
likelihood that they just didn't bother to fit it properly for the photos.
Carefully folding a convertible top (BJ7 or BJ8) ensuring the material
doesn't get trapped between and get caught in a scissor motion, or not
allowing the material to pack in between the bows, but pulling the top
material toward the back of the car and gently curving the excess back over
will allow the assembly to completely clear the rear seatback assembly and
stow at a lower more compressed level, allowing the proper fitting of the
top boot assembly.
Another thing that will help a lot is to unzip or unclip the rear window and
allow it to sit inside in a gentle concave shape. This will help the window
plastic from having to suffer the folds and bends the top must endure and
will help things stow better too.
Jeez.....and I don't even like or own a convertible!!!<grin>
