BJ7 Restoration

I am beginning the restoration of a 63 BJ7. It is in fair shape but will take
some effort and $ to restore it. I would be interested in any advice from the
list as to major dos or don'ts that should be done. I intend to restore it as
a driver  , so I am more interested in reliability and appearance than
originality. What is the best order for disassembly? Can the top supports be
removed without cutting the welded brackets? Thanks for your input.
