Had one come off my BT7 a few years back - I cleaned both surfaces real well
and glued it back on with contact cement, thinking I would get a couple of
new ones. Never got around to it, but the offending rubber is still there.
Cheap quick fix that seems to have worked.

The other day while removing the Battery cut off switch the rubber bumper

off the top of the axle housing. Looks like I'll be replacing both of them.

imagine they are vulcanized to a curved plate that fits under the leaf
spring U-
bolts. Any suggestions or lessons learned to pass on before I dive into this
one?
