I hit the same problem with new Dunlop RS5's on the original 48 spoke BN2
rims (my other ones are the 72 spoke with 185/70 Vredesteins and tubes
discussed below), large hole and small diam valve stem on modern tubes.
Universal Vintage Tire who sold me the tires, sell plastic grommets 80c
each, to sleeve the hole down and stop chafing. See them at
