It sounds to me like ActiveSync is configured to start
on boot, and is tying up the serial port even when
you have the Palm connected and are trying to download
it with GEEZ. There is an option in ActiveSync to start
the transfer software module only while ActiveSync is
running. I don't have Windoze running here on my
computer now, so I can't look and give you the specific
instructions to change the settings.
As an alternative, you might want to check out the
iPAQ and see if there's a USB sync option that will
free the serial port for your Palm to sync with GEEZ.....
