Since Byron may be slow to respond (he's on the road),
I thought I'd ask:

         Why would you want the cube without any software?

You need software to calibrate it, to record data out of it, and
ultimately to analyze it.  Surely you wouldn't want to rebuild
any of that, would you?  Byron doesn't charge enough to make
that worthwhile... even if you only write the Palm software
to calibrate, record, and download.
