Mike, I=E2=80=99ve got my oil cooler located in front of the radiator - =
the radiator is not stock, is aluminum, wider than tall, and sits on top =
of the frame rails. Can=E2=80=99t provide photos as the car is totally =
in pieces. I=E2=80=99ve got a Canton remote cartridge filter, a =
blank-off plate where the stock filter goes, and oil feeding the system =
from the block -m one of the large taps/plugs in the vertical =E2=80=9Clin=
e" where the distributor is. =46rom there it goes to the filter, then =
to the cooler, then back to an octopus of four lines -one feeding each =
of the main bearings. This is detailed in one of Kas=E2=80=99 books - =
probably on Chuck Gee=E2=80=99s build.=20
The simpler route, if you are not feeding individual bearings, is to get =
one of the filter blank-off plates with a supply and return tap, and run =
the supply to the filter and then to the cooler, then back to the =
blank-off plate.=20
You can see some of this in photos here, but not the taps from the block =
feeding the bottom of the canton filter, or feeding the accusump (the =
line to the firewall). =
