Seems as if every time I use Permatex Aviation Cement to soak my rope seals the mess gets worse and worse. Is there a good alternative to Aviation Cement or to the rope seals entirely? I have tried RTV, but it is very hard to get it in there with no air gaps. Building another engine this week and am wondering about a better way to do it.
