They might suppose the car to be flame thrower with the oil hose connected to the exhaust. I would say that the amount of oil on the road is less with that system and it does indicate very early any engine damage. Cheers Chris -----Urspr|ngliche Nachricht----- Von: fot-bounces@autox.team.net [mailto:fot-bounces@autox.team.net] Im Auftrag von Rich Rock Gesendet: Dienstag, 20. Mdrz 2012 22:56 An: fot@autox.team.net Betreff: [Fot] Engine Vacuum System --SCCA Finally got an answer from SCCA to the question----why are engine vacuum systems which connect to the exhaust system prohibited by SCCA? I didn't present an argument in favor of the system in my original letter, but I did say that I have seen them in use in cars raced in other series. The official response is printed in the April issue of FasTrack which came out today. It reads, in its entirety, as follows: "Thank you for your request. There is no need shown for these systems and they create a safety issue if they malfunction". Does anyone think we can win this "argument"?
