As I mentioned in a previous post, I have been looking for a big stupid
station wagon to cart magazines around with and even tow my Trimuph to local
events.
Unfortunately, I have found said wagon, a 1959 Edsel Villager and it is in
Santa Ana, CA. One of the guys that works for me is in LA right now and
instead of flying back, he is driving it to Scottsdale today and picking me up.
I have been at the auctions, hustling magazines. From there we are driving
the Edsel to Florida.
Tomorrow we head east following I-10. I think we will look for some back
roads that run nearby. So, do any of you live along I-10 between Phoenix, AZ
and Jville, FL? Are any of you crazy enough to help us, or even let us into
your home's should we call you with a problem? Hey, what could possibly go
wrong with a 50 year old car that we have never drivin before? And perhaps
most importantly, what cool junkyards are between here and home that might have
that 1500 Spitfire hood that I have been looking for or the trim pieces I
still need for Margie's 63 Corvair, or even some Edsels?
Thanks and wish me luck!
