I have never seen a TR7 box disassembled but I am pretty sure that the gear
on the input shaft is different from the one on the Spitfire single rail.
Therefore, unless someone has manufactured a Spitfire sized input shaft with
the TR7 gear on it, I doubt this will be possible.

John at Quantum Mechanics has built GT6 boxes with TR7 gears, better
bushings, etc.
he claims they are sturdier construction than a stock GT6 box, though
I still managed to destroy one.

There is a way to use the gears inside a Spitfire gearbox utilizing
the Spitfire input shaft I'd sure like to hear about it as well.
Using a TR7 gearbox is high on the list of things to do to Susan's
spitfire.
