Typically I believe the lifters are hardened with a case of somewhere around
.005"-maybe .006". There have also been quality control issues with some
aftermarket lifters that have inferior hardening as reflected by a Rockwell
or Brinnell test. Resurfacing lifters may be an alternative to seeking out
quality replacements but I suggest they be tested after the grind. No point
in trashing a good cam or even an engine for that matter.........
Anyone have experiences using Ford comp lifters or some of the new ceramics
available from the American muscle car industry?

The oils are fully synthetic.
The very good thing is, all old lifters can be reused. The grind is so cheap
done. You never run out of lifters.
I have a plastic bag with old lifters regrinded and if a current one does
fail I grab in the bag and put in a new one....cheap stuff now.
I think after two times resurfacing I should let them hardened again.
Cheers
Chris

I'm not sure that either of those oils are available in the US market.
