Anyone have a suggestion or a neat little trick I have not thought of to
get a stuck front oil seal out of the timing cover of a TR3/4? Last
night I tried tapping it out from the front, but that just bent the seal
inner lip. Then I tried prying between the front cover and the front of
the seal, but that seals to be bending the lip of the front cover seal
register not moving the stuck front seal. Part has now been soaking in
mineral spirits for 24 hours, I'll give it a try again tomorrow.
Just hoping one of you has already figured this one out.
Thanks,
Greg
BTW The executive editor of "Spirit" (Southwest airlines rag) has an
entertaining piece about the 24 hours of LeMons in the current issue.
He was apparently a part of team TARP. That looks like a crazy bunch of
folks. No mention of the TR7 entrant that I seem to remember reading
about on FOT a while back.
