Ok gang, here is the final tally I think. I may have confuse an FOT'r for a
MGVR'r but jist is there;

MGVR
        Racer Built 7
        Pro Built 5
FOT
        Racer Built 19
        Pro Built 3
Partial assembly or some times 2

HI Gang - thanks Tony
Here are the updated tabular results from both the MG and Triumph gang.
Please
keep in mind this is purely curiosity. I actually have my engines
professionally built and am thankful for the results. Particularly on the A.
A friend of mine started doing his engines and as so many said: It adds to
the
enjoyment for him, and saves on the pocket book if you have the time and
inclination.
So here goes:

MGVR
        Racer Built 4
        Pro Built 3
FOT
        Racer Built 13
        Pro Built 3
Partial assembly or some times 2

I think the MGVR gang were hard at it in the garages this weekend getting
ready for the Gold Cup. I am still at it - just taking a break before I
button the A back up. So perhaps we will get some more responses a bit
latter.

Good luck to every one this season

I build my own engines - learned the ropes from uncle jack (Dad). If
I had to pay for that I would have a hard time affording the hobby.
But, I've cost myself quite a bit due to stupid mistakes too. I put
together web pages detailing jack's engine building tips as well as a
couple of pictorials from my last couple of teardown / rebuilds to try
to help out others who are trying to do it themselves. Of course,
Kas's books are invaluable!

I'm not pushing my site, just reminding folks that this resource is out
there.

I've done the tranny, overdrive, rear diff and all wiring too.

But, I have a knack for that kind of thing too - some folks just
aren't cut out to rebuild engines and transmissions. No knock to
them, you need to have your brain wired a certain way for that stuff
to make sense, I think.
