Dont remind me. I had to toss a pair of fireproof socks this week that found
their way into the conventional laundry bag. Diane wouldn't permit them back
into the car. My drivers shoes have broken strap loops on the top. I'm looking
for a way to repair them. i don't like new driving apparel--I trust the old
stuff.

As previously stated, I use a narrow anti-skid strip on both my brake and
accelerator pedals. I like that, but in fact it may be just what I'm used
to.
A side note...long term there's a price to pay. There's a small area on the
sole of my right driver shoe wearing faster than the balance. Soon to be a
hole. Got to be from the abrasive strips.
But these are VERY old driver's shoes that should have been replaced long ago
(I've a brand new pair on the shelf). BUT...you know how guys get attached
to stuff. Old driver's shoes, a smelly helmet, undershorts, etc.
