Does anyone on the list have recollections of Dick McKee? This query came to
my club and I'm asking around within as well...

Subject: Dick (Richard McKee) racer 1958-1964
Greetings,
I have recently inherited many racing photos and articles about my Uncle -
Dick McKee (born 7/14/1931) who was a racer and the chief mechanic for Curt
Gonstead and well as Jim Spencer (Racine) during 1958-1965. I am trying to
find any additional articles or photos to put all the pieces together. Dick
raced many vehicles, Jaguar XK140, Porsches (Super and Spyder), TR-3 and
TR-4, '61 Corvette, Junior Formula (Curt Gonstead) even a Ford Mustang in
1965. Most races I have read about occurred at Lynndale Farms, Meadowdale,
Wilmont Hills. I understand that he raced in the International Grand Prix in
Chicago (1958 TR-3) however, I cannot find out much detail. Dick passed away
too early -3/1976 due to heart complications.
Dick lived in Madison, Milwaukee and Oconomowoc and raced under USAC I
believe he was involved in the Madison Sports Car Club as well.
If you have any information in your archives I would be very interested. Or
perhaps you have referrals or recommendations on where I can do some
research-
Let me know what additional details I can give you.
I sincerely appreciate your response,
SUZI HOWES MORAN niece of Dick McKee
