Jack I know of two failures here in the UK (neither on one of my engines) of big end bolts, either shearing or loosening, causing the rod / piston assembly to blow a piston sized hole in the block. both were using Carillo pattern rods, not OE Carillo stuff. Not quite what you want. Perhaps Steve Hall at TR Enterprises or Tony Lindsay Dean at Kingston Sportscars here in the UK can give you some real facts.
