Hello: I have a new engine installed in my TR-4, 11 to 1 compression, race cam, stock SU carbs, stock radiator, no fan. Timing is set for 10 degrees BTDC and the car idles nicely at 1000 rpm. Question: with the car idling at 1000 rpm in the garage and after initial startup, in eight to nine minutes the water temp reachs 200 degrees F. Would this be considered normal? If not, what is a normal warmup timeframe and temp? Thanks. Gary |
