Jack challenged... > Okay, here's a New Year's challenge (not open to you guys who cheat and > live in warmer climes). A friend just reminded me of something he smelled > and will never forget. I challenge you all to ONE LINER car memories. Like > these: Here's a few of mine: Two first place EP wins with my TR-3B at Bridgehampton time trials (1973). Co-driving the TRF TR-250 with Charles Runyan in the '88 One Lap of America and finishing 15th overall of some 50 entries. Lusting after and finally winning the Ken Richardson Challenge Trophy (1997) for TR-3 Three laps around Daytona at 150+ as a passenger in NASCAR look alike. Loosing a front wheel on my TR-6 at 60+ in Canada (1978). Waving to all the people who love seeing our TR-3A even if they don't know the difference and say "I love MGs" All the great times with so many great Triumph friends. Sadness for those Triumph folks I've met, counted as friends and are no longer with us. Happy New Year to all. Bill Sohl |
