Having recently gone to roller rockers, a new head (stronger springs) and
billet alloy pedestals, I've just experienced my first broken pedestal bolt.
We got by on the weekend because we found a 3/8" Allen-Head cap screw, cut
it to length (as best we could figure out - you all know what race-day
cobbling together is like) and it got us through.
I am now looking for a more permanent solution and I've heard all sorts of
arguments/ideas. I'm tempted to increase the size to 7/16" and also tempted
to use an ARP solution of some sort (if for no other reason we can get them
here in Australia).
I've got a copy of the ARP catalog, but can't figure what's the right
solution. Can anyone aim me in some sensible direction - either 3/8" or
7/16". What are the opinions?
Thanks - Wes dayton
