By the way, there are fuel pumps that fail in such a way that they no
longer act as their own check valve so that flow from a pump in parallel
with them will just circulate back to the intake side. I'm going to
replumb peyote so that I can see the fuel pressure gauge from the driver's
seat. might even stick in a couple of little check valves.
