I've gotten away with it, but I'm not sure it's a great idea. On the
other hand, you never know what new parts are really going to be like.
some of them come pre-broken or pre-worn.

Very sloppy. For my TR3, the manual says I must replace the trunnion
and vertical link - very expen$ive. What would be wrong with replacing
only the trunnion? I'd think since it's brass, it would wear more than
the vertical link. Opinions, advice please.
