Quaiffe diffs are available for TR's. I have a hard time recommending them
though Peyote has one because they don't really solve the problem of
getting power on the ground at the apex and exit of a turn. You can still
spin the inner wheel, you just still get some power on the outer. If you
are used to a welded diff then you won't like a Quaiffe. You'll have to
change your driving style substantially--opening up the steering when you
feel the traction going away. It might make for smoothness, but hey, who
wants that?
I'm going to try the ATX clutch diff, probably with a very hefty preload
on the clutches. I should go to welded, but I hate pushing those cars in
the pits. I really liked the Detroit Locker in my cheater TR3, but those
can be hard to come by and you have to get used to the bang and sudden
lock--the car usually jumps a bit.
If you do go to a Quaiffe you'll be less likely to break hubs and axles.
The big forces are induced by differential locking, not by engine
horsepower. That's why they always break in the corners.

Tis the season for further car development so hence the following:
1. I would like to change the welded stock dif of my TR6 to a limited slip
set-up. Goodparts offers a kit which uses a Nissan dif. Does Quaff(sp?)
offer a set-up for TR's? If so, which is the recommended approach? Where
would I find a Quaff dif?
2. I would like to upgrade/strengthen the rear hubs on the TR6 so that I
can run stickier tires without breaking rear axles (I hate when that
happens). Does anyone make such a thing and if so, where can I find it?
