Tut, tut, tut !!! Let's be specific here, gentlemen and accord credit where
credit is due, please. You'll have Mr Maudslay turning in his grave through
failure of recognition and Siegfried Bettman won't have even thought about
his morning cup of tea! The Centenary for Triumph cars is not due until
2024. The 2003 Centenary is for The Standard Motor Company - a very
different (larger and far more important) kettle of fish that bought The
(bankrupt) Triumph Motor Company to resurrect the name after WW2. Triumph
Clubs will certainly be supporting the event - but a 'Triumph' Centenary and
Event? Absolutely no way! Overseas visitors to the UK for this event,
especially from North America, are most respectfully requested to leave the
name Triumph at home before departure. It will be tolerated at Jabbeke,
because of the TR2 - but do not forget it was an engine from the Standard
Motor Company that powered the car designed by a Standard engineer for
initial use in a Standard car - the Vanguard. Please practise saying the
word Standard. A failure to recognise this will result in immediate
deportation and a lifetime ban on visiting later UK events.

The 1964 Shell 4000 TR4 from NY was sent to Germany and restored.
Do you know who prepared these cars? They sported Oregon plates while in
the North America while in England they had British plates VC3, VC4, VC5 and
VC6.

Don, with respect - cars carrying those registrations would date themselves
to sometime in the 1920's. Now if you're talking about 3 VC, 4 VC, 5 VC and
6 VC - you could be nearer the mark, datewise <smile>

Cheers, Jonmac
