I haven't used an intake gasket on my TR6 in 3 years. I use Red
Felpro heat resistant silicon and I've never had one leak or blow out. I do
take the time to trim the excess from the inside of the intake runner. Let
it set up, use some long needle nose pliers and gently pull. But, that's it.
Give it a try.
