FOT and those who have axles at Southwick:
Jack & I went to Southwick Machine and Design yesterday...on Tuesday.
We returned Jack's axle (which was run on my car at Texas World Speedway) for
some very minor dimensional corrections. I also dropped off my axle and
backing plates, as well as an axle and backing plates for Cary Perket.
Southwick is ready to proceed. I left them a check and they say they could
have my axle done next week. For those that have axles already there and are
interested in getting this work done, it might be a good idea to call there
and introduce yourself.
I am asking them for 7/16 studs of a certain length...your requirements may
be different.
My axle already contains the LSD, some may need to make arrangements to send
their's in or plan to install it themselves when they the axle.
There's a couple of axles there without backing plates and those folks will
need to send the ones that they want drilled, into Southwick...(Kahler 1 axle
and Babcock-2 axles.
My observation is that Bob Southwick really knows what he is doing and is
very easy to work with.
Jack may have something to add to this.....
Oh yes, there is a TR4 axle assembly there that is unassigned to anyone. If
someone is interested in the axle, please let me know
